FIRST FLIGHT - concert band

First flight, the very first composition released to the world, out of the imagination of Peter Thijs. 

This concert piece starts out very small, trying to paint with sound. At first very timid, but steadily growing towards a complete blend of sounds where all instruments, big or small, are needed to create the complete pallette.

The themes are introduced slowly, after which the composition takes off, both in speed as in intensity, leading towards a grand finale.

First flight, de allereerste compositie losgelaten in de weide wereld, uit de verbeelding van Peter Thijs. Dit concertstuk begint heel bescheiden en probeert met geluid kleuren te schilderen. In het begin erg timide, maar gestaag groeiend naar een volledige mengeling van klank en kleur waar alle instrumenten, groot of klein, nodig zijn om het complete palet te creëren.

De thema's worden langzaam geïntroduceerd, waarna de compositie opstijgt, zowel in snelheid als in intensiteit, leidend naar een grootse finale.
